About Dr. Arun Subbiah

I received my MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech, USA. My thesis work was in the areas of fault-tolerant distributed systems and computer security. I received my Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, India. A description of my final year project can be found here. During my undergrad, I assisted in system administration activities at the electrical engineering department computing facility. My contributions include: setting up their first website (1997), setting up the http server, the mail system and internal newsgroups, and helping the transition from vt100 terminals to desktop PCs.

I currently work at Riverbed Technology in Sunnyvale, California.

I am from Bangalore, India. I did all my schooling at the Frank Anthony Public School.

About this website

This is a website built and maintained by Arun Subbiah. I set it up in December 2003 while spending the winter holidays in Nashville, Tennessee. While the website itself has undergone several changes since, in terms of content, the Notepad (a blog) is the section that has relatively the highest activity.
